Anna had previously been a coached athlete under a different coach, paying quite expensive fees and not getting much of an improvement. She joined TeamBR at the very start and was very keen to take some 1-2-1 coaching.
As always with a new athlete, I like to assess their ABC’s (agility, balance & coordination) and running form. This enables me to see where some deficiencies might be so that we can create exercises to correct them.
After the assessment, we worked out an 8 week plan together which included exercises that were designed to specifically target some of the areas of weakness, drills to help encourage good form and running sessions all worked around her weekly schedule.
Anna stuck to the plan (of course work and life sometimes get in the way) eventually culminating in her hitting her sub 25 target and parkrun PB.
The last time I went for a PB was in March and I literally died after 2km and finished with 25.11. This time I felt pretty strong the entire way and at the end I could have put more in. I have felt a massive difference and finished at 24.51!

It has been great to see all the work she has done come together and see her finally get that PB. We recently reassessed her and the improvement in all areas was vast, it’s going to be a struggle to find areas to improve on for her next plan!
Anna has been great to work with and seeing all the work she has put in come together to make her a stronger running machine has been seriously amazing.
